International Youth Conference

by Nekessa
Tomorrow morning I will be speaking at an international youth conference.

The event which is open and free to the public is sponsored by the International Leadership Institute. The goal of the conference is to encourage youth in pursuing careers in the global field. I will be speaking on media and journalism. Students interested in working in media will write an expression blog during the conference that I will publish on Mshale.

Other speakers include: Nadifa Osman, the President of WARDA (Women of Africa Resource and Development). Ms Osman will speak on youth involvement in the larger global community; and Mary Tate the Director of the UofMn Empowering Minorities for Careers in Medicine, and program interns.

So if you have a daughter, son, niece, nephew, grandchild in junior high school (or older) bring them along for a great training in leadership skills.
